Our New Sensory Unit

We are pleased to announce that on August 10, 2000 we opened a new sensory care unit (see photos below).  The unit has special light and sound effects that are played to awaken and enhance the senses of the patients.  The unit also has a large pool of hand-sized balls to help the children move their arms and legs while many balls are within their reach.   The unit has been an instant hit with our youngsters.

Special thanks to all the volunteers and donors who helped bring this unit to our patients.  Special thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Dorrett from England who volunteered their time and effort to construct the unit.
