Suheila's Story

Suheila, who is developmentally delayed and unable to walk came to The Homes when she was 12. Suheila's mother was suffering from mental disability, and her father was unable to take care of her along with her 10 other siblings. When she was admitted she could do nothing for herself.

Now she goes where and when via her walker or wheelchair, feeds herself, and eagerly participates in all activities inside and outside The Homes.

Ibrahim's Experience

Ibrahim, 58 years, who’d never before seen a sheep, happily held one in his lap. This is but one of many of his new experiences during his 40 years at The Homes.

Abla's Story

Abla, 61 years, came to us in 2011 from a refugee camp. Recovering from a recent hysterectomy, with severe bed sores and edema in both legs this slightly developmentally delayed was unable to walk.

Abla now fully recovered from her medical problems practices her hobbies including embroidery and music.
